So of course we are extra thankful this year, we have two beautiful blessings now! It was Cameron’s first Thanksgiving and unlike his sister, he loves food. He enjoyed sweet potato, mashed potatoes and pumpkin. Even with two kids, we managed to make three stops to visit family and friends. It was such a wonderful day filled with lots of love and laughter.
Kayla also had a Thanksgiving event at school where she wrote on her leaf that she was “thankful for her momma”. She just melts my heart. But if you ask her in person she says she’s thankful for her Daddy, Mommy, Cameron, Rocko and Nonna. She loves her little brother so much. She was so happy to see their matching shirts and loved that Cameron’s said thankful for his big sister and vice versa. She actually snuggles up to him and kisses him in our pictures all on her own, I never even ask her to. It’s the cutest thing ever. Although there are definitely times when she’s snatching his favorite toy out of his hand or singing extra loud when he’s sleeping in his car seat right next to her. But hey, that’s what big sisters are for…I should know 😉
Hope everyone had a beautiful Thanksgiving as well!
Christmas pictures have already been taken and can’t wait to share!!!

It’s Halloween times 2 this year!!! How can you not smile looking at these cuties? We let Kayla pick all of the costumes this year. She loves donuts so no surprise she wanted to be her favorite donut…pink frosting with sprinkles. She then deemed Cameron a shark, Daddy a Tiger and Mommy an ice cream cone. It cracks us up every time we put that shark head on Cam. He’s been a great sport too, he wears it as if nothing is on his head. They’ve had so much fun wearing their costumes out for various events. Kayla even wore hers to dance class this weekend where it was a bit hit amongst the teachers and parents as well!
Last year Kayla was fascinated with the white pumpkins at the pumpkin patch but this year it’s the gourds. Her Nonna “had” to buy two gourds at a halloween festival for her. She would not put them down and if another kid pointed at them she made sure to take a step in the opposite direction. What do you even do with those things??? They make her happy, so I guess that’s all that matters.
Although halloween times 2 has also meant work times 2 we wouldn’t have it any other way! Can’t wait to take these two munchkins trick-or-treating soon and watch the joy on Kayla’s face as she hops from house to house. Cam is just along for the ride this year 😉
Kayla has known she wanted to be Cinderella for Halloween for about 6 months. She’s never wavered in her choice, every time we asked she’d say “Cinderella”. We thought for sure she’d change her mind at some point but decided to take a risk and buy her this costume early. We had taken her to see the new Cinderella film when it came out and she just loved it. She let us know that her costume had to be the version with the butterflies on it like she saw in the movie. Luckily, Disney is up-to-date with merchandise for all their new properties so we scored the dress of her dreams. Kayla is beyond excited to be Cinderella and loves her “glass slippers” that light up as well as her carriage trick-or-treat bag. She can’t wait to go trick-or-treating and get lots of candy and we can’t wait to watch her (and take tons of pictures)!
